Addressing life’s issues through movement provides a more concrete way to learn and solidify the changes you want to create. Movement with awareness provides a framework for you to become your most empowered and joyful self.


Serena is a gifted facilitator of awareness and change. She brings the alchemy of structure, clear instruction and compassion allowing the opportunity to be vulnerable, explore and create. Serena has a love and enthusiasm for the Feldenkrais Method that can be felt in every class. Her understanding of the power of conscious movement of the body comes through in her clear and knowledgeable instruction; and her love of the inner world, is nurtured in her encouragement of the individual journey. With her love of wisdom, through the sharing of inspirational quotes and stories coupled and the ability to ask thought provoking questions bring body and mind together in a new and powerful way. Serena is always willing to address questions and concerns in a clear and open way. While some classes maybe more challenging than others, Serena guides each individual to find what is best for them. You will come away with a greater sense of presence and wellbeing every time.

Hi I'm Serena Cofer

My greatest aim is to empower others to learn how to create the life they want.Using movement and awareness, I support women in transforming their lives - whether that is finding more ease in moving physically, more clarity in thinking or in elevating their overall well-being.


For many years, my life was a struggle. The daily grind of working full time at a job I didn't really enjoy, taking care of my four kids and striving to meet life's demands took a large toll on my mental, emotional and physical health. I was barely holding on. Life was so much of what I did not want!


When I was seeking options to help my son who lives with rheumatoid arthritis in his hips, I found the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education and began to feel hope for both of us. I took the training and started using the method for myself and my son. The more we did, the more I saw physical improvements in each of us. His hip mobility increased, my neck and shoulder pain were significantly reduced and I began to move with greater poise and ease.


What amazed me even more were the changes I felt in my mental and emotional health. I wasn’t as reactive or stressed about challenges or upsets to my day. And, I began experiencing more joy, more clarity, more hope and more confidence.


I now help other women discover their own possibilities.


As an authorized Awareness Through Movement® teacher, I teach group programs as well as offering private sessions.


Learning is a process, so this is a lifelong journey for me and for everyone who engages with me. I would love to support you on your path to greater peace, poise and empowerment.
